MATCH REPORT: Paul Mulders/ADO Den Haag/Eredivisie, Netherlands(1st Tier)

Oct 26 2011  Vitesse  2-1  ADO Den Haag
KNVB Cup

Pauls' Hagenaars lost a KNVB Cup match against a fellow Eredivisie team. A defensive miss step very early in the match allowed the home team to score first, 0-1 with only six minutes having gone by. ADO began to assert themselves after this first setback with more attacking forays into Vitesse territory. ADO's pressure finally gave them the tying goal at 19 minutes. Unfortunately, with the score tied, The Hagenaars were beset by Yellow card after Yellow card which would eventually cost ADO the game.

The second half started evenly, with both teams seemingly content with the tie. A scoring opportunity appeared for the home team which they promptly took advantage of, a goal, making it 1-2 for the home team.

As ADO struggled to fight back and Vitesse sitting on their lead, more Yellow cards appeared for ADO. Finally at the 84th minute The Hague lost a man which also took away any more impetus for them to tie the goal. ADO suffered 5 Yellow and 1 Red card in the game.

ADO has a 1 win, 1 loss record in the KNVB Cup. In regular season play, ADO is 10th in the 18 team league.

Paul Mulders came in at the 87th minute.

Next fixture: Oct 30 2011 an away game against Heerenveen, currently in 8th place.
