MATCH REPORT: Neil Etheridge/Fulham FC/Barclay's Premier League, UK(1st Tier)

Oct 23 2011  Fulham  1-3  Everton

Fulham squanders a home fixture and loses 1-3 against middle-of-the-pack team, Everton. After climbing out of the relegation zone a week ago, Fulham once again is threatening to return. It was early in the game that Everton began to dictate the tone of the game. Even before Fulham could get into a game rythm, the opponent struck sending the ball to the back of the net just far enough from Schwarzers outstretched arms.

Just before the end of the 1st half, it seemed that Fulham finally was taking the momentum from Everton. A goal for the Whites at the 68th minute was the result, the assist going to American national player Clint Dempsey. The score was tied at 1-1. The score would have stayed tied if not for a defensive breakdown on a counter at the 90th minute, 1-2 Everton. Perhaps deflated by the imminent loss, the Whites allowed another at extra time(93min), final score 1-3 for the away team.

Fulham is 17th in the 20 team EPL.

Neil Etheridge remains the 2nd GK.

Next fixture: Oct 29 2011 an away game against Wigan Athletic, currently in 19th place.
