MATCH REPORT: Oliver Pötschke/BFC Preussen Berlin/Berlinliga, Germany(6th Tier)

OP (borrowed from missossology.info)
Oct 25 2011  SFC Stern 1900  2-4   BFC Preussen Berlin

Another improbable win for Oliver's long suffering team! Though long mired in the relegation zone BFC Preussen has suddenly made it a habit to defeat much higher ranked teams this season. What made it an even surprising story was that the home opponent played with a full 11 man line up. Perhaps it was the goal in the 1st minute that set the tone for the rest of the match.

By half time BFC P was leading 2-0. Though a pair of goals by SFC Stern at the 69th and 71st minute certainly did not make it easy on OP's team. In the end the lead was too much and the defense played in their usual competitive way. They sealed the victory with another last minute goal(90) to go home a winning team, at least for today.

BFC Preussen eked its way out of the relegation zone and is now in 15th place. Next match is against the number 1 team in the league. Can they pull another upset?

OP was back in the playing mode as he subbed in at the 82nd minute.

Next fixture: Oct 29 2011 an away game against VSG Altglienicke, currently in 1st place.
