The expected defensive upgrade has finally happened for Rob's Ascot United. A new central defender has been signed and started to produce a much needed win for the Yellamen. Although, in the beginning things looked like the same old Ascot U team was playing as they went down 2 to 0 early. Fortunately the new lineup stiffened and the offense produced just enough to score a win for Ascot. The Yellamen's last win was Sept 17th against Fairford Town.
Ascot United is now 14th in the 21 team league.
Rob Gier was not in the game player roster. It has been the second game in a row that he was not included in the roster. Rob usually start at right fullback.
Next fixture: Oct 22 2011 an away game against Kidlington, currently in 17th place.
