Oct 22 2011 Ingolstadt II 0-2 Stuttgarter Kickers
The home game opponent today was the formidable Stuttgarter Kickers. A team on the hunt for a promotion to the 3.Liga, the 3rd tier of the German football league system. In 13 games the Kickers has only lost one game, nevertheless the young Schanzers entered the game with home pitch advantage and confidence in their own league leading scorer, Karl-Heinze Lappe who had 13 goals in 13 games.

The game was a tie, up until late in the 1st half when at the 39th minute the ball found the back of the net for the away team. In the second half a second goal at the 52nd minute sealed the defeat of Manny's team. Even with this unfortunate loss the young Schanzers remain at 8th place in the 18 team league. It is important to note that the opponents, SVS Kickers, unlike Manny's team is NOT a U23 team.
