Wisła Kraków 1-0 Fulham |
UEFA Europa League
Neil Etheridge's Fulham FC lost a UEFA Europa League away game against a Polish club, Wisła Kraków. Thought Fulham went into the match very confident, the red card for Moussa Dembélé(Fulham player from Belgium) at the 29th minute dealt a crippling blow to the team and subsequently swung the favor to the home team. Though the 'Whites' valiantly held on with its 10 men, Wisła Kraków scored at the 60th minute.
Eventually a second Yellow Card at the 87th minute would equalize the teams to ten men each, it was too little too late for Fulham. Final score, 1-0 for the home team win.
The Whites remains second in Group K of the Europa League and will play a home game on Nov 3 against Wisła Kraków. From the head coach to the players, they remain very confident in winning the next game and advancing in the UEFA Europa League.
Neil Etheridge did not play but remains Fulhams number two Goal Keeper.
Next fixture: Oct 23 2011 a home game against Everton, currently in 15th place.
Next Europa League fixture: Nov 3 2011 a home game against Wisła Kraków.
