Oct 22 2011  Energie Cottbus  0-2  Greuther Fürth

The Cloverleaf returns with a vengeance and once again secures its first place standing in the 2.Bundesliga. Cottbus, a team who has a good record yet has not won against Greuther Fürth for the last ten fixtures they have had together, was determined to bring down the powerful and balanced team. Unfortunately for the home team, Stephan's Cloverleaf's plays well at home and away, and with the help of two of its foreign players(a Spanish and a French-Canadian national) secured the win with a score of 0-2 for the away game win.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth regains the number one slot in the 2.Bundesliga. After 12 league games its record is 9 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties. The team is tied for 3rd in scoring but where it really shines is at defense. In 12 games it has only allowed a league best 7 goals!

Stephan Schröck is a regular starter on defense. He began the game and played until just before the beginning of injury time.

Next fixture: Oct 26 2011 a home game against SC Paderborn, currently in 5th place.
