TEAM UPDATE: Juan Luis Guirado's Racing Lermeño in an unenviable streak!

MATCH REPORT: Juan Luis Guirado/Racing Lermeño/Tercera Division, Group 8, Spain(4th tier)

Mar 4 2012  Cultural Leonesa  6-0  Racing Lermeño
Mar 10 2012  Racing Lermeño  0-1  Almazán

Things have gone from bad to worse for Juan Luis Guirado's Spanish Tercera Division team, Racing Lermeño. Since he left to join the Philippine national team to compete in the AFC Challenge Cup the team has and still is in the midst of a 4 game losing streak. The team has been slowly climbing back into relevance during December and January of this year, but in the current losing streak, they have been the victims of 12 goals allowed(in only 4 games) and has made 1 goal during this time.

It is clear the team desperately needs a defensive stalwart in Juan Luis and also more scoring. As it stands now, they are 16th in the 21 team Group 8 and falling. In 29 games they have won 8 drawn 7 and lost 14. They are tied in first place for the worst offense in the league with only 27 goals scored(less than 1 a game) and tied at third worst defense allowing 50 goals(almost 2 a game).

Juan Luis who is a stand out defensive mid and center back for the Azkals, has one game left in the Challenge Cup for the third place position against a strong team from Palestine. He should be returning to Racing Lermeño soon after.

Next fixture: Mar 19 2012 an away game against Bembibre, currently in 3rd place.
