JERRY LUCENA, pain free and ready to reclaim starting spot with AGF Aarhus!

Injured AGF Aarhus and Philippine national team defensive standout Jerry Lucena will soon be back on the pitch practicing with the team. Jerry has now sufficiently recovered from a minor groin injury which he has said to be painless now and which has kept him away for two weeks.

Unfortunately, things are a bit more complicated for the AGF right back. The coaching staff has made defensive adjustments in his absence and his spot has been given to another. This player has blossomed to the point of coach Sorensen saying, even if healthy, he cannot guarantee that Jerry can just step in and take his right fullback position back.

Jerry has been diplomatic saying, "Competition is healthy and it helps to make us all sharp, and there'll be a need for all during the season".

Prior to playing right back for AGF, Jerry has spent most of his career as a Center Midfielder, only moving to Right Back on the insistence and available open spot for his current team.

Here's hoping Jerry Lucena gets his starting spot back soon with AGF Aarhus. Go get 'em Jerry!

Thanks to  @AGFFodbold(AGF's official twitter acct for correcting me, Jerry has spent most of his career as CENTER MID, only changing when AGF had no other position to offer him as a starter).
