UPDATE: Dennis Cagara & James Leigh Gunn

Dennis in FSV Frankfurt colors

Dennis Cagara continues with his search for a higher level club in Germany. About a week ago Dennis was trying out with 3.Liga team Chemnitzer FC where he played in a friendly against Oberliga team Hansa Rostock II. The coach there mentioned his "...solid defensive performance". Today he is trying out for 2.Bundesliga team FSV Frankfurt. The team has this to say about Dennis:

Day 2: "(Translated) From the afternoon workout, put left-back Dennis Cagara front in black and blue colors. Cagara ran to eight times for Hertha BSC Berlin in the Bundesliga and played with Dynamo Dresden 28 times in the second Bundesliga. Most recently, the son of a Filipino father and a Danish mother in the Danish first division side FC Nordsjaelland was active."

Day 3: "(Translated) Meanwhile, Dennis Cagara enjoys test players to "be back in full training. The season was already in Denmark in November over. Since then I have indeed kept me fit, but to train with the team is something different, "said the left-back."

At the time of this writing it remains "day 3" of training. They have yet to play a competitive friendly. FSV Frankfurt's training camp is held in the sunny Spanish island of Mallorca, away from Germany's dreary winter weather.

This team could be a good fit for Dennis' wish to play in at least a 2.Bundesliga team and because of FSV Frankfurts desperate need to shore up its defense which is currently 2nd to last in the league with 36 goals surrendered in only 19 league games. They are 16th in the 18 team 2.Bundesliga.

J. Leigh Gunn
In other news, former Philippine National Team standout James Leigh Gunn has returned to training with his team(FPFC) Fraser Park FC, an Australian 3rd tier football club. He plays striker or right wing. FPFC's season start on March 21st.
