Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth plays a friendly with 1.Bundesliga FC Augsburg and signs former Schalke player Gerald Asamoah

Stephan's cloverleafs played an away friendly against 1.Bundesliga minnow FC Augsburg and triumphs. Greuther Fürth goals were scored in the 76' by Christopher Nöthe and Bernd Nehrig in the final minute.

More importantly Greuther Fürth signed Gerald Asamoah a veteran African born German National player and long time Schalke mainstay. No doubt signed to reinforce the cloverleafs team for its winter season push to regain 1st place in the 2.Bundesliga. Asamoah, according to the Greuther Fürth coach, has immediately integrated himself with the team and performed very well in the friendly against FC Augsburg being involved in both goals.

Greuther Fürth is currently 2nd place in the 2.Bundesliga.

Next fixture(Friendly): Jan 21 2012 a home game against Austria Wien, currently 4th place in the Austrian Bundesliga.
