The young but veteran member of the Philippine national team usually called the 'Azkals' will be arriving tommorrow. Simon Greatwich is among three Filipino - English brothers who have made an impact in the Philippine soccer scene and was a member of the team in 2010 were the 'Azkals' made itself known to South East Asian soccer powerhouse' that include Vietnam, Singapore and Indonesia to name a few. The aggressive playing central midfielder last played with the national team in mid 2011.

After his last national team service he moved to New York to attend Hartwick College where he was a standout soccer player. Simon first began playing with the National Team in the dark days before 2010. His first national team forays were in 2008 in the AFF Suzuki Cup qualification matches, Oct 17 2008.

Denis Wolf

Though no "official" roster has yet been released for the Saturday evening charity match against K3 powerhouse Icheon Citizen FC, there might be a possibility that he could join new national team player Denis Wolf and if healthy enough, Azkal veteran center back and new Global FC player Rob Gier. 

Previously, Simon's name was spotted in the roster of the UFL championship contender, Meralco Sparks. It should be interesting when he takes his place in the Sparks' lineup which include national team mainstays Phil and James Younghusband and up and coming 'Azkal' youth players Matthew and Mark Hartmann. With his inclusion in the team lineup, the UFL Championship runner up has an even more reason to overtake current title holders Air Force Riders who's ageing lineup has hardly changed from last year.

ADD: An unconfirmed report has stated that Global FC WOULD or WILL release players for the ICFC charity match, but again, no "official" statement yet.
