Neil Etheridge's Fulham bows out to Wayne Rooney's Red Devils.

Neil Etheridge's Fulham, crushed by visiting Man U! In front of over 25,000 fans in Craven Cottage, the Whites suffered an early blow when at 5' a goal was made by the visitors. An attacking 4-2-3-1 formation was employed by the Fulham coach but it was to no avail as the Whites proved less energetic than the Red Devils. Though possession time was for the home team, the more penetrative attacks were for the Red Devils as a header doubled the lead at the 28'. At 43' a deflected shot flew over the head of Fulhams goal keeper, 3-0 at the half.

The 2nd half began well for the home team as they came out more aggressive with dangerous chances at the goal. The momentum seemingly swinging to the Fulham side. Unfortunately a number of fouls slowed them down. Though having good chances in the half, Fulham could not find the back of the net. Finally at the 88' minute, Manchester United star Wayne Rooney made it 4-0. A last nail in the coffin was had at stoppage time to make the score 0-5 for the visiting Red Devils.

Fulham is 13th in the 20 team English Premier League. Lack of scoring output continues to be a big problem for the team.

Neil was in the game roster but was unused.

Next fixture: Dec 26 2011 an away game against Chelsea, currently in 4th place.
