MATCH REPORT: Jeffrey Christiaens/KM Torhout/Third Division League, Group A, Belgium(3rd tier)

Dec 18 2011 Coxyde  2-1  Torhout
Jeffrey's KM Torhout continues its downward slide in the Belgian 3rd Division as it lost to struggling Coxyde. It started well for KM Torhout as they struck first via a redirected free kick. 1-0 for KM Torhout at the 3rd minute. Unfortunately the home team would tie the game as they struck at the 28'. At the end of the 1st half it was a 1-1 tie.

The middle of the 2nd half was when KM Torhout had its best chance but the hands of the home team goal keeper was faster. Jeffrey subbed in at the 77th minute as an injury replacement. With a little more than a dozen minutes left in the game, KM just had to hold on to the tie to get a much needed point but a momentary lapse of concentration at the 88th minute lost them the game. A 2-1 defeat for Jeffrey's Torhout and a deserved 15th place ranking in the 18 team 3rd division.

Next fixture: Jan 15 2011 a home game against Oudenaarde, currently in 3rd place.
