NEIL ETHERIDGE, back as 2nd goal keeper as FULHAM defeats the Bolton Wanderers.

MATCH REPORT: Neil Etheridge/Fulham FC/Barclay's Premier League, UK(1st Tier)

Dec 17 2011 Fulham  2-0  Bolton Wanderers

With Neil Etheridge back as number 2 goal keeper, a recently recalled David Stockdale keeps a clean sheet against the EPL's doormats the Bolton Wanderers. Employing a 4-2-3-1, almost immediately the superiority of Fulhams attackers showed as the Trotters were forced to sit deep, defending their net. As the end of the first half approached Fulham seemed to gain more confidences. Finally a header by Dempsey found the back of the net(32'), 1-0 Fulham. Approximately a minute later, Dempsey assisted on a goal by Ruiz, reciprocating the assist by Ruiz on his goal, Fulham 2-0. This was the second time in as many games that Fulham has led 2 goals to none in the 1st half .

As the second half began, there were no team breakdown this time as the Whites continued with their attack throughout. To be sure there were moments of uncertainty but in the end, Bolton did not have enough in the gas tank to mount a late rally. Fulham wins and stays at midpack, 11th in the 20 team EPL.

Neil was in the game roster as the 2nd GK.

Next fixture: Dec 22 2012 a home game against Manchester United, currently in 2nd place.
