Paul Mulders denies being cut and more on Lucena, Ott, Cagara, Müller...

After a report surfaced that Paul Mulders was let go of Dutch premier league outfit ADO Den Haag(which I also blogged about HERE ) he fired back on twitter writing in tagalog:

Kahit natapos ko ang aking ang 3th pagsasanay na ito umaga! Salamat sa iyo! Hindi importanteng bagay.

(I finished my 3rd day of practice today! Thanks to all of you! [the report] is not important.) To the collective sigh of Filipino footy fans everywhere, our one and only Dutch premier league player remains with his club for now. You can read Paul and ADO's season recap HERE

JERRY LUCENA:
An Esbjerg reports today that the team considers Azkal "Dream Teamer" Jerry Lucena as their biggest signing this preseason. The only other "big" player they have acquired recently is a German-Ghanaian player from 2.Bundesliga outfit St. Pauli.

The team lost two long time players recently but is more than happy to have the two new players on board for the 2012/2013 campaign season. Esbjerg fB is a long time Danish Superliga team relegated and then promoted back to the top tier league for this season. Jerry was a long time youth player for Esbjerg fB. You may read more HERE

Jerry has been given his old familiar jersey number (21).

On July 3rd, the team played against German Regionalliga team Holstein Kiel. They defeated the opponent 2 to 1.

Jerry played as a center midfielder. He was subbed out at the 35th minute from a minor knee injury.

Roland Müller:
Roland recently started in the second half of a friendly were the team overpowered the host, TuS Borkum 23-0! All the 23 players in the MSV Duisburg roster played at least 23 minutes.

Things might be looking up for Rolands career. Florian Fromlowitz the number 2 GK for MSV Duisburg recently left for Dynamo Dresden, which means #3 GK Roland Müller would possibly move to the first team back up role! Good career news for Roland, bad for the Azkals. I'll be following the situation and will inform as soon as more news are released.

Trivia: Roland(24yo) is the oldest of the three GK that MSV Duisburg carries. The starting GK is Felix Wiedwald at 22 yo.

DENNIS CAGARA:
Dennis Cagara's team Karlsruher SC played a preseason friendly against minor league team Wachendorf. They won 11-0 with Dennis playing the full 90'. The only other preseason fixture the team played was against Ukranian club Dynamo Kiev which they defeated 1-0, Dennis played all of the second half in this game.

ROB GIER:
First preseason game on July 7 2012.

MANNY OTT:
Ingolstadt FC II(U23) played a preseason friendly against an Oberliga team on Wednesday last week. Manny's 4th tier U23 team battled the hometown TSV Rain during the one week Bavarian training camp. Manny, who was recently awarded a much deserved 2 year contract extension started and then gave way in the second half. Ott's team dominated with a final score of 8 to 2.

Ray Jónsson:
His 2012-2013 season is on-going. Things are not well for Ray and UMF GRINDAVÍK, but thats another story for another day...

Twitter watching:
Jason de Jong and the two CFIM players are getting itchy. UFL team, send the "papers" already!
