KANBAWZA FC primer

Like me you are probably curious who Loyola Meralco Sparks will be playing in the next round of the RHB Cup in Singapore so I tried to do a quick search just to see who Kanbawza really is. Here's a Kanbawza FC primer.

No need for an indepth report but suffice it to say Kanbawza FC is a National League(Myanmar)  powerhouse. The seven year old team is currently 2nd in their league table and climbing. They have won 4 straight games in which they have outscored the opponent 11 goals to 5 surrendered. This includes the RHB Cup fixture against Singapore club, Woodlands Wellington on May 19th whom they defeated 2 to 1.

As it stands today Kanbawza FC, in 17 league games has a record of  11-5-1 with 40 goals scored and have only allowed 20. Main weakness? Defense. The 20 goals allowed is actually only 8th best in the 14 team Myanmar National League. A fact I'm sure LMS coach Master Kim already has in his pockets.

Player to watch out for is Soe Min Oo, he scored against Woodlands Wellington previously but he is also a prolific scorer having been the 2009-2010 National League top scorer awardee and a "key striker" for the Burmese national team.

The match will be played July 5th at 7:45 pm(Singapore time) at the Jelan Besar Stadium.

Click HERE for the Kanbawza FC website and don't forget to listen to the teams theme song/music video, catchy!

Good luck to the Loyola Meralco Sparks!

    1. Supposedly it isnt televised in Singapore either and AKTV has no TV crew in Singapore at this time. Can you say "tweetcast only"?
