2011/12 End of Season report: Patrick Hinrichsen and SV Darmstadt 98 II

Patrick, seated far right.

REMAINS A CONTENDER in the Verbandsliga Group South is what Patrick Hinrichsens team has accomplished for the 2011/12 season.

Patrick began the season in the player pool for the team and was hardly used or included in a game roster. This slowly changed as the season drew to a close. By the end of the season, the 21 yo midfielder saw playing time as a reserve and even as an occasional starter for his 6th tier team.

The team started out well and managed to be in the upper echelon of the ranking table all through out. Unfortunately its last half a dozen games or so saw them in a mini slump which eventually brought them to where they are now, 5th place. The team finished with a 16-4-14 record. They scored 70 goals in 34 games  while allowing 59. Their biggest problem is their defense, specifically the goal allowed stat.

My last report on SV Darmstadt is HERE and continuous below:

Win Apr 15 SV Darmstadt 98 II  3-0  RW Walldorf - Not in game roster.

Loss Apr 22 Eintr. Wald-Michelbach  3-0  SV Darmstadt 98 II - In roster, did not play.

Loss Apr 29 FC Alsbach  4-1  SV Darmstadt 98 II - Subbed in 80'

Draw May 6 SV Darmstadt 98 II  0-0  Spvgg. 05 Oberrad - Started, subbed out at 77'

Loss May 20 SV Darmstadt 98 II  2-3  KSV Klein-Karben - Subbed in 74'

Win May 26 FC Ober Rosbach  1-2  SV Darmstadt 98 II - Started, full 90'

Patrick has a contract running until June 30 2012. So far I have seen no information about an extension or a release. Got info, share it...

  1. He's here for a vacation but not sure if he will be interested in joining a UFL club. It's also very unfortunate that we were not able to see his potential during SEAG since he didn't play his natural position.
