Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth wins and is 2.Bundesliga's king for the second week in a row.

MATCH REPORT: Stephan Schröck/SpVgg Greuther Fürth/2.Bundesliga, Germany(2nd Tier)

Mar 3 2012  MSV Duisburg  0-2  Greuther Fürth

Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth visits Roland Müller's parent team,  MSV Duisburg and wins again! Despite the final score, the first half did not bring any indications of good plays especially the midfield where both teams could not string any significant passes or plays of worth. Before the end of the 1st half, both teams tested each others goals but all were eventually snuffed out.

The second half began with a seeming commitment from the visiting Cloverleafs as they continued its relentless attack against the home team, a 2.Bundesliga minnow. MSV Duisburg would give its all, despite ugly plays, its coach admitting the only thing important to them was not to be relegated. The break through for the visitors came at the 78th minute during a scrum in the home towns box. A fortuitous ball rolled to a waiting Greuther Fürth player just a few steps from the goal, 0-1 cloverleafs!

With a 0-1 deficit the home team broke open its parked bus and began to attack. In turn this allowed the Cloverleafs to have more space to operate, but with the desperation of a team close to relegation, Greuther Fürth could not exploit and find the back of the net! At the 86th minute a Duisburg strike would elicit a moment of concern but eventually Greuther Fürth would put the final "nail on the coffin" in injury time(90'+1'), 0-2 a win and a lock at first place in the 2.Bundesliga.

Stephan Schröck was not in the game from an accumulation of too many yellow cards. He will be back in the next fixture.

Next fixture: Mar 10 2012 an away game against Union Berlin, currently in 7th place.
