DENIS WOLF'S back on the pitch against St. Pauli II

MATCH REPORT: Denis Wolf/1.FC Magdeburg/Regionalliga Nord, Germany(4th tier)

Feb 26 2012  Magdeburg  2-2  St. Pauli II

Denis Wolf's 1.FC Magdeburg dominated most of the match against fellow Regionalliga Nord minnows then concedes a tying goal at the 90'! The match featured Magdeburg at 16th place and St. Pauli at 14th, the game wasn't going to be pretty and it wasn't. First goal was made at the 29th minute by the visiting St. Pauli team though playing at home, Magdeburg was the more aggressive. The score at the end of the first half was 0-1 St. Pauli II.

The second half was more of the same from both clubs but Denis' team finally found a break at the 52nd minute when it was granted a penalty, the score was tied 1 to 1. Ten minutes later, right after Denis Wolf enters the pitch as a sub, Magdeburg would score again to make it 2-1 for the home team.

With Magdeburg holding on for the win, the last minute proved to be what the visitors needed as they scored the tying goal(90'). Though there were an additional few minutes of injury time, it was not enough for Magdeburg to regain the lead. the game ended in a draw.

Magdeburg climbs up one spot to 15th place in the 18 team Regionalliga Nord.

Denis Wolf has lost his starting XI spot after having a so far, season long scoring slump. He nevertheless entered the pitch at the early 61st minute. Denis started the season as a substitute.

Trivia: The last time Magdeburg has scored more than ONE goal was on Nov 5 2011 against Meppen(Magdeburg won).

Next fixture: Mar 4 2012 an away game against Meuselwitz, currently in 10th place.
