Juan Luis Guirados Racing Lermeño suffered its second loss in a row, this time against surprising team La Virgen del Camino. Racing Lermeño, playing at home, was defeated convincingly by a newly promoted team! La Virgen though new to the league nevertheless has among its players, the second highest goal scorer in Group 8. This player, Ramirez would prove his mettle as he scored twice to effectively sink any hopes of Racing Lermeño winning the match.
The first 35 minutes of the match was all that the visitors needed as they scored very early (3'), converted a penalty (26') and scored an insurance goal (34') to make it 0-3 for the visiting La Virgen del Camino.
The second half saw Racing Lermeño score early (46') and played better all around, yet it was not enough to beat the rising Tercera division powerhouse. The final score, 1-3 and second loss in a row for the home team.
Racing Lermeño is now 13th in the 21 team Tercera division Group 8.
Juan Luis Guirado is expected to return right after the conclusion of the Challenge Cup.
