PAUL MULDERS' ADO DEN HAAG earns a draw against top Eredivisie contender

MATCH REPORT: Paul Mulders/ADO Den Haag/Eredivisie, Netherlands(1st Tier)

Mar 4 2012  ADO Den Haag  0-0  Heerenveen

Paul Mulders' ADO Den Haag battled hard to salvage a draw against against Eredivisie top contender, Heerenveen. With the help of some new players, the Hagenaars would cause the visiting team problems, though in the first half things would be shakey for Den Haag. At the end of the 1st half the score would remain 0-0.

The second half would start with Den Haag in a more even footing and ably attacking the superior visiting team, while on defense they would hold fast. Though down on possession time Den Haag would present a more compact defense and countering when given the chance. By the end of regulation, the Hagenaars defense would hold to salvage a point against the very strong Heerenveen team. The coach of ADO Den Haag would then equate this draw to a win considering the quality of the opponent.

ADO Den Haag is 15th in the 18 team Eredivisie.

Paul Mulders was present in the game roster but was not used. He is also tabbed to attend the Challenge Cup for the Philippine national team in Nepal which begins late next week.

Next fixture: Mar 11 2012 an away game against Heracles, currently in 11th place.
