Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth wins big and is temporarily back in first place in the 2.Bundesliga

MATCH REPORT: Stephan Schröck/SpVgg Greuther Fürth/2.Bundesliga, Germany(2nd Tier)

Feb 25 2012  Greuther Fürth  6-2  Bochum

Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth easily handles Bochum but the feisty visiting team would score first(8') and until the 20th minute were competitive but then the deluge struck. The new winter break pickup, Asamoah would open the scoring for
Greuther Fürth(21'). Stephan Schröck would narrowly miss a goal at the 26'. Finally, before the end of the first half, the cloverleaf attack would score at the 40th minute(Own Goal by Bochum), 2-1 for the home team. 

It was almost all Greuther Fürth in the second half as Stephan Schröck began the scoring by assisting with the second goal of the game by Asamoah(50'). Later, a 17 meter shot by Greuther Fürth would find its mark, 4-1(61'). A quick answer by Bochum 5 minutes later would see the score 4-2.

More misfortune would come to Bochum as they were already suffering from 2 players injured, they then suffered a Red Card(2nd Yc at the 61') and now played a man short the rest of the match. They were quickly taken advantaged off by the Cloverleafs as they proceeded to scored two more goals(72' & 85' Penalty Goal) to close out the score line at 6-2.

Greuther Fürth is temporarily back at 1st place in the 2.Bundesliga but the 2nd and 3rd place team has yet to play its 23rd match day fixture.

Stephan Schröck started and was subbed out at the 70'. He suffered a Yellow card at the 53rd minute.

Next fixture: Mar 3 2012 an away game against MSV Duisburg, currently in 13th place.
