PAUL MULDERS and ADO DEN HAAG struggling but gets a tie against Utrecht

MATCH REPORT: Paul Mulders/ADO Den Haag/Eredivisie, Netherlands(1st Tier)

Feb 12 2012  Utrecht  1-1  ADO Den Haag

Paul Mulder's ADO Den Haag earns a point away when it draws fellow league weakling Utrecht. The home team started the match aggressively when at the early 6th minute they almost had a goal. It was mostly back and forth with the Haguenaars also threatening the goal. Finally at the 30th minute, a well placed long ball eluded the ADO defense and found the back of the net, 1-0 for the home team.ADO would equalize at the 43'. At the end of the first half, the score would stand at a 1 to 1 draw.

Disaster struck ADO in the second half just as they were poised to make a better game of it. At the 61' and 66' two Den Haag players were taken out of the game from injury, the starting goal keeper among them. Taking their cue, Utrecht started to take advantage of the injuries as they came closer to finding the back of the net. As if it wasn't enough, another ADO player was injured, this time worse than the others as he was carted away(82'). Through it all, the junior goal keeper and the rest of the team braced itself for defense. Ultimately their stand would last. Final score a 1 to 1 draw.

In 2012 ADO Den Haag has played 4 league games and lost twice and drawn twice. They are now 13th in the 18 team Eredivisie, the Netherland's equivalent to the 1.Bundesliga.

Paul Mulders was in the game roster yet did not play.

Next fixture: Feb 19 2012 a home game against Excelsior, currently in 17th place.
