JEFFREY CHRISTIAENS out with injury and KM Torhout's 1st win in 6 tries!

MATCH REPORT: Jeffrey Christiaens/KM Torhout/Third Division League, Group A, Belgium(3rd tier)

Jan 21 2012 Torhout  2-1  RFC Tournai

KM Torhout wins its first game in 6 tries but Jeffrey Christiaens does not play due to injury. KM Torhout playing at home surprised its higher ranked opponent by scoring at the 1' mark(7 seconds!). It helped Jeffreys team that a Tournai player received his second yellow at the 4th minute. Ten men for Tournai advantage for KM Torhout. That was all of the scoring for the first half.

Tournai would tie the game on a 54' mark but Torhout would not settle for a draw. Another player from the visiting team was red carded at the late stages and because of this came a goal at the 87'. A much needed win for the 3rd Division minnow.

KM Torhout has last won a game on Nov 15th.

Jeffrey Christiaens suffered what is being called a sprained ankle ligament. His team website has mentioned that he will not make it to the "Asian tournament" most likely the Hassanal Bolkiah tournament. A European moderator(based in Belgium) of usapangfootball.proboards.com has mentioned that Jeffrey is likely out for at least 4 weeks.

Next fixture: Feb 5 2012 an away game against Racing Waragem, currently in 11th place.

  1. Bad news.. Looks like we already have at least 4 players injured if I'm not mistaken.. Aly, Mulders, Schroeck and Jeff.. Ooh.. Forgot Pascual.. That makes it Five..

  2. Mulders is back, he played a full game with ADO's youth team already. He doesn't play too many minutes with the team so he should be well enough come the Challenge Cup.

Jeffrey too should be back by March, though it's unlikely he will play in the Hassanal Bolkiah Tourney.

Aly and Stephan is definitely out. I don't know the extent of Pascuals injury though.
