JASON DE JONG scores!!

MATCH REPORT: Jason De Jong/Jong FC Dordrecht(or youth/reserve), Netherlands(youth league)

Jan 23 1012 Jong VVV Venlo  3-1  Jong FC Dordrecht

Jason de Jong's FC Dordrecht loses another game but Jason de Jong shows his offensive side and scores lone goal for the team. The home team scored first at the 20th minute while Dordrecht struggled with its, so far, inept offense. The first half ended with a one goal lead for the home team, 1-0 Venlo.

Just shortly after the half time break Jason de Jong would score his first goal of the season and tie the game, one to one! Not more than a few minutes later Jason again would come close to another goal if not for the heroics of the opposing goal keeper. Unfortunately at around the 70th minute the home team found the back of the net for the lead, 2-1 Venlo. The game was closed out with an injury time goal. Final tally 3-1 VVV Venlo.

Jason de Jong started and finished the entire match. This is his first score of the season.

Jong FC Dordrecht has a record of 1 win 3 draws and 10 loses. They are 6th in the 6 team youth league.

Next fixture:
Jan 30 2012 a home game against jong NAC Breda, currently in 2nd place.

  1. Has he ever scored a goal for the NT? I really want to see him play again especially after his performance against SG last year..

  2. I don't believe so. Though young Jason has been with the 'Azkals' longer than most and has always been willing to do his part. No doubt he will show up again sometime. After all, his youth coach would probably have him play against national teams rather than the youth teams he plays against. Between him, Manny and Lexton the Defensive Mid position is in good hands and to think Jason and Manny are so young still.

  4. jong = young or youth, in Dutch

When they talk about jong FC Dordrecht, for example, it signifies the "youth" team of FC Dordrecht.

    I hope this helps dom.
