DENNIS CAGARA'S FSV Frankfurt surprises contender St Pauli in a goalfest.

MATCH REPORT: Dennis Cagara/FSV Frankfurt/2.Bundesliga, Germany(2nd Tier)

Apr 7 2012  FSV Frankfurt  3-3  St. Pauli

Dennis Cagara's FSV Frankfurt pulls an upset of sorts as they played league contender St Pauli to a draw at home. Thanks to 3 early strikes(6' 17' & 20') Dennis' team was able to withstand a goal strike by the visitors(24') and a Red card at the 40th minute and the subsequent Penalty Goal(41'). The score was 2-2 at the end of the first half.

St. Pauli would strike fast(46') at the second half but Frankfurts defense was resolute. Try as they may St. Pauli would be kept scoreless for virtually the whole 2nd half unable to score the winning goal even with a man advantage. The awful defense of the early season is now a thing of the past as Frankfurt held on for the tie, the game ending at 3-3.

Frankfurt has not lost in 5 league games. They are steady at 14th in the 18 team 2.Bundesliga.

Dennis Cagara was an unused substitute.

Next fixture: Apr 14 2012 an away game against Fortuna Düsseldorf, currently in 3rd place.

  1. Looks like FSV doing well ever since the inclusion of Cagara. He should at least get another extension.

  2. Cagara is now a free agent, I'll post a blog about this in awhile :)
