After a successful run with the Philippine national team as a starting center mid in its AFC Challenge Cup fairy tale, Paul Mulders is back with the Haguenaars. The home team surprised the Eredivisie powerhouse to earn a point. ADO found the back of the net early(6'), it was a goal by Euzebiusz Smolarek a players whos has played his 250th pro game and had his father pass away recently. The first half ended with the home team ahead at 1-0.
The second half saw ADO defending with all its might, yet the corner kicks were its undoing. Finally, Twente would score at the 62nd minute from a corner, the score was tied at 1-1. ADO would hold on desperately for the tie. All in all a surprising game for the team and earning it a much needed point.
ADO Den Haag is at 15th in the 18 team league.
Paul Mulders subbed in at the 63rd minute.
