MANNY OTT gets more playing time & PAUL MULDERS missing in teams season debut

2012-2013 Season Report

Manny Ott/Ingolstadt 04 II/Regionalliga Bayern/Germany(4th tier)

The new season brought a two year contract for the 20yo Manny Ott and vastly more playing time with the team.

With the new and more aggressive Manny Ott that Azkal fans saw early this year, came a position in the starting XI of Ingolstadt II. The central midfielder has managed to play significant minutes in the first six games for the season but was not in the lineup for the last away game on August 15th, a loss against Bayern München II.

Because of the 2012 realignment of the Regionalliga, Manny Otts Ingolstadt II is now in the Regionalliga "Bayern" division. Last year they were in the Regionalliga Süd(South). Nevertheless the Regionalliga remains the 4th tier of the German football pyramid.

Below are the "games played" so far in the season:

21/07/12  (draw) Illertissen 2-2  Ingolstadt II - started played full 90'
26/07/12  (loss) Ingolstadt II  0-1  1860 Rosenheim - started subout 80'
28/07/12  (loss) Nürnberg II  4-2  Ingolstadt II - started played full 90'
04/08/12  (win) Ingolstadt II  4-2  Buchbach - subbed in 46'
09/08/12  (draw) Frohnlach  1-1  Ingolstadt II - started subout 80'
11/08/12  (win) Ingolstadt II  4-1  Eintracht Bamberg - subbed in 72'
15/08/12  (loss) Bayern München II  1-0  Ingolstadt II - not in roster

Current record: 12th in the 20 team league(2-2-3)

Notes: Ingolstadt II is 3rd in scoring in the league with 13 goals, yet is 5th worse in "goal allowed" with 12!

Den Haag's new BLUE away kit

Paul Mulders/ADO Den Haag/Eredivisie/Netherlands(1st tier)

ADO Den Haags season opener began with the 31yo Paul Mulders not in the game roster. Neither was Paul involved much in preseason games with the team.

With a plethora of new  midfielders it would seem that ADO has temporarily(?) put Paul in the backburner to give game roster spots for these youngster. It's perhaps well and good for Paul that he is signed with ADO Den Haag until 2013.

If Mulders continue to remain out of his teams game rosters, this might also mean that Azkal fans would see him on the pitch come the Suzuki Cup later this year. Otherwise, like last season, he will see playing time with ADO Den Haags youth team where he scored a lone goal.

Below are the "games played" so far in the season:

12/08/12  (draw) Vitesse  2-2  ADO Den Haag - not in roster

Current record: 5th in the 18 team league(0-1-0)

Notes: Last season Paul played in 11 out of 34 league games.
