Meet Dario Dakic friend and shadow of Phil-Swede player, and UFL hopeful, Wilbert Latoy . Dario has decide to follow his long time friend in a football adventure. And what more adventurous than going to an exotic new place to ply his trade than the Philippines.
Dario is used to new places you see. In 1994 during the height of the Bosnian war, Dario who was seven years old then, along with his family, escaped to Sweden. So what does a little Bosnian kid do when all around him was new and no one spoke his language? Well, he spoke the international language. He played football with his neighbors. So good was he that at the tender age of 11 he was picked up to play for IF Sylvia's(then 2nd tier in the Swedish football pyramid) youth team. The rest, as they say, is history.
At this time he says that he is in supreme physical health and is ready to prove to any UFL club that if given a chance at a tryout his skills at midfield will surely impress you.
When asked where he will be 10 years from now, aside from a wife and kids, he says he'd want to still be playing football and getting paid for it. Sounds like a man with a plan!
So there you go UFL, how about a tryout for Dario and his partner the Phil-Swede midfielder Wilbert Latoy? They are confirmed to arrive in the Philippines this August 6th. Don't be the silly team who missed out on some talent because you were too cool of a team to contact a blogger!
