UPDATE: James Leigh Gunn & Juan Luis Guirado

James Leigh Gunn**
MATCH REPORT: James Leigh Gunn/Fraser Park FC/NSW Super League Div1/Australia(3rd tier)

Feb 6 2012(preseason)  Fraser Park FC  8-0  Springwood

James Leigh Gunn and Fraser Park FC continues its good form as it played its second preseason game which ended in a convincing victory for FPFC. James has continued to play right back and judging by the scoreline he and his defensive cohorts are in fine form. After the end of the match James stated, "Good signs of a good season so far!".

Good job to Fraser Park FC and to James!

Meet the Azkals new Center Back!*
Meanwhile, Juan Luis Guirado makes his debut for Global FC as he subbed in about ten minutes after the second half had begun. from an eye witness account, he played mostly at the midfield position. He also appears to have an Anton del Rosario like throw in, it being described as "very long!" Global FC would eventually win the match against Green Archers United 1-0 with the lone goal coming from fellow Spanish Filipino and Tercera Division veteran Carli de Murga.

Juani is a starter on defense with his Tercera division team, Racing Lermeño and should carry good match fitness through training camp and against the coming UAE opponents. The Philippine NT is scheduled to leave for its middle east training camp this Tuesday. Good luck to Juani and the Azkals in the UAE!

  1. I was able to watch the game at nomads yesterday and other than the very long throw in. His passing completion rate is higher compared to some of our defensive players. I think he has better vision and understanding of the game (made a lot of decent through balls) He is also strong in the air and very vocal at the back. Albeit played only a few minutes as a CB I think Aly is faster. Maybe lacks match fitness? Anyway, all in all. He will be a tremendous boost to our defense.

  2. I agree with the comments given! Hope he'll be a positive influence as well to the whole team in terms of defensive mentality.
