According to a German source the Hanover native accepted an invitation from the PFF to "practice" with the Philippine National Team.
He has been excused by his team 1.FC Magdeburg. For those like me who were wishing he would stay until after the Challenge Cup, a little disappointment, he will only stay until Jan 25 2012 then his team will want him back.
The FC Magdeburg Sports Director Detlef Ullrich has wholeheartedly endorsed Denis' request to be able to attend Azkal training saying,
"(translated)...He has asked for the release for this course. We want to give him this opportunity and wish Denis for this recommendation for the national team much success".
But to reiterate, FC Magdeburg expects him back on the 26th of January for the continuation of their season. He is after all their starting forward.
There you go, now you know what the PFF hasn't told you yet!
ADD: If successful during his time in the Philippines, Denis may well be invited for the Challenge Cup, but that's just me speculating...
