JASON DE JONG back in action with FC Dordrecht's reserve team.

MATCH REPORT: Jason De Jong/Jong FC Dordrecht(or youth/reserve), Netherlands(youth league)

Dec 12 2011 Jong Willem II  0-0  Jong FC Dordrecht

Jason's FC Dordrecht youth team didn't win but they were not defeated either. This is a welcome development for the team as they have been the whipping boys of their youth league. To put icing on the cake of this 'non-defeat' Jason's team played with only 10 men for most of the match, but there's more, one would expect an over eager defender to be red carded but in this case the sheepshead's goal tender was the one sent off at the 25th minute!

Needless to say this tie game was one of the better defensive game the sheephead has played in quite a bit of time. Out of the 6 teams in this youth league, FC Dordrecht is 6th and last place, last in scoring with only 15 goals made and last in defense with 'goals allowed' at 31. All of this in 13 played game. They now head to winter break.

Jason de Jong fans, take comfort in that he has been gone for quite awhile and cannot be faulted as part of his teams dismal play. In this last match he has returned to his rightful place as part of the starting XI.

Next fixture:
Jan 23 2012 an away game against Jong VVV Venlo, currently in 4th place.
