Stephen Schröck back from injury!

Stephen Schröck, arguably one of the most important cog of SpVgg Greuther Fürth has returned ahead of schedule. Stephans injury  recently diagnosed as periostitis has been bothering the cloverleaf midfielder since late last year. Minor surgery was done to the affected area before a holiday at the Maldives and the toe was said to be fine. Unfortunately, a day into training camp, which was held in Turkey, the injured toe surprisingly flared up again. Stephan was immediately sent back to Germany for further medical evaluation.

The medical issue was said to take at least a month or so to heal. Therefore it was great relief for the team to have Stephan back so soon. Asked how the problem area was, he replied, "It's nice to have no more pain," said Schröck after the 120-minute training session.

SpVgg Greuther Fürth is 2nd in the 2.Bundesliga and has further fortified its line up this off season by taking in aging Gerald Asamoah once a German national team mainstay. They will also meet Dennis Cagara's new team FSV frankfurt on April 22nd.
