The Hagenaars won an important victory, their second at home and the opponents sixth loss in a row. The first half was a see saw battle as The Hague only had its first chance at goal in the 25th minute and it would be enough for the win. Though NEC had severl good chances, ADO's defense held. The second half saw The Hague with more numerous chances at goal but was stifled, while NEC decided to use four strikers in a desperate bid to even the score but to no avail. Final score 1-0, a good win for Paul's ADO against a struggling team.

ADO Den Haag continues to try and climb up the charts. They are currently in 10th place in the 18 team Eredivisie.

Paul played as he subbed in at the 93rd minute.

MATCH REPORT: Jeffrey Christiaens/KM Torhout/Third Division League, Group A, Belgium(3rd tier)

Jeff in KM Torhout kit
Oct 22 2011 Torhout 0-3 Ronse

Jeff's KM Torhout lost at home against a very tough Ronse team today. Ronse a team of mostly French descent players imposed its will against the home team defeating them 0-3. At the early stages of the game, Ronse was already imposing its will against the home team. There was a feeling of "when" they will score rather than 'if'. When the dam broke, it poured. Goals by Ronse at the 44th minute was followed immediately at the next minute, 0-2 Ronse at the half.

Try as they may, the home team could not find the back of the net(a problem they have had since the beginning of the season). At the 66th minute Ronse scored again for the last time in the game, final score 0-3 Ronse.

Kevin Ingreso, Hamburger SV
Oct 22 2011  Hamburger SV  1-1  Wolfsburg

Things are looking up for Kevin Ingreso and 1.Bundesliga minnow, Hamburger SV. With a new coach in Thorsten Fink and a home fixture against a good Wolfsburg team, hopes were high for a new beginning in the home arena. Unfortunately, hopes were dashed immediately with just a little over 60 seconds having gone bye when the opponent scored a goal to make it 1-0, Wolfburg! Seemingly content with the lead, Wolfsburg sat on their lead.

MATCH REPORT: Rob Gier/Ascot United/Uhlsport Premier League, United Kingdom(9th tier)

Rob Dazo Gier
Oct 22 2011  Kidlington  2-2  Ascot United

It has been one of the better weeks for Rob Gier's Yellamen as they tied league rivals, Kidlington in an away game. With this tie the Yellamen manage to uplift itself to 13th place from 14th. Their record stands at 4 wins, 8 loss and 2 ties.

Will this weeks new defensive acquisition be the missing puzzle and help Ascot U to regain its winning ways?

Dennis C. at a young age
Oct 22 2011  Lyngby BK  1-1  AGF Aarhus

Dennis Cagara's struggling Lyngby BK played a home game against Jerry Lucena's Superliga power house AGF Aarhus. In what on paper would seem like an easy game for the visitors, Cagara's team tried its best not to disappoint its long suffering fans. Striking early and striking first. Lyngby scored a goal on the 26th minute, holding on to the lead until AGF got on the board to tie the game from a free kick at the 68th minute.

It was a small victory for the Lyngby team but left a bitter taste with AGF as the tie has been its third in as many games.

Stephan Schröck and teamates at a TV station
as guest in a sports show on Oct 17th.
Oct 22 2011  Energie Cottbus  0-2  Greuther Fürth

The Cloverleaf returns with a vengeance and once again secures its first place standing in the 2.Bundesliga. Cottbus, a team who has a good record yet has not won against Greuther Fürth for the last ten fixtures they have had together, was determined to bring down the powerful and balanced team. Unfortunately for the home team, Stephan's Cloverleaf's plays well at home and away, and with the help of two of its foreign players(a Spanish and a French-Canadian national) secured the win with a score of 0-2 for the away game win.

Wisła Kraków 1-0 Fulham
Oct 21 2011 Wisła Kraków 1-0 Fulham

UEFA Europa League

Neil Etheridge's Fulham FC lost a UEFA Europa League away game against a Polish club, Wisła Kraków. Thought Fulham went into the match very confident, the red card for Moussa Dembélé(Fulham player from Belgium) at the 29th minute dealt a crippling blow to the team and subsequently swung the favor to the home team. Though the 'Whites' valiantly held on with its 10 men, Wisła Kraków scored at the 60th minute.

TEAM REPORT: Ray Anthony Jonsson/Grindavík/Úrvalsdeild, Iceland(1st Tier)

Ray plays the midfield position for Grindavik.
OCTOBER 22 (wiking) The playing coach of Ray Jonsson's team has decided to hang up his clipboard and continue on as a player. Olafur Orn Bjarnason, starred in the last game of the season, and was the main catalyst of the improbable win against a very strong opponent and saved the team from relegation. He scored a goal and was the Captain of the defense that held the opponent ÍBV, scoreless.

Priority now is to find a new coach who will help lift up Grindavík from its previous 10th place finish.

The 2011 season ended in October and will resume again in May 2012.

MATCH REPORT: Rob Gier/Ascot United/Uhlsport Premier League, UK(9th Tier)

Oct 18 2011 Ascot United 3-2 Shrivenham FC

The expected defensive upgrade has finally happened for Rob's Ascot United. A new central defender has been signed and started to produce a much needed win for the Yellamen. Although, in the beginning things looked like the same old Ascot U team was playing as they went down 2 to 0 early. Fortunately the new lineup stiffened and the offense produced just enough to score a win for Ascot. The Yellamen's last win was Sept 17th against Fairford Town.

Christopher Greatwich: Where are you now?

OCTOBER 21 (wiking) – Chris is a current coach (U20) and player of the NPSL team based in New Jersey, the Morris County Colonials. Chris is listed as an attacking midfielder.
The Morris County Colonials play in the Northeast Atlantic Conference of the NPSL. For the 2011 season, the Colonials finished in 5th place out of 6 total teams with a record of 2 wins, 5 loss and 3 draws.
Unfortunately, the Morris County Colonials team website does not keep statistics for the individual fixtures, it also does not provide game player rosters.
Player: Christopher Greatwich/Morris County Colonials

Nate Burkey: Man on Fire !

October 21 (wiking) - Nate Burkey just got his 2nd Hat trick in as many games! To be precise he had 4 goals in the game against Schwarz FC in yesterday Oct 20th, game. That gives him 7 goals in two games and powers his team, Kaya FC, into the UFL's "round 16," the first team to make it there.

Its great to see Nate getting more work as a featured striker/forward. Hopefully his continued good play will carry over to the AFC Challenge Cup. I've got a feeling he's going to start beside Phil if he continues what he's been doing.

Yes there's Mark H, Angel and Mr Palami's penchant for surprising us with his new "acquisitions" from Europe. But until then, good luck and good going to Nate!

James Leigh Gunn: Once and future Azkal?

OCTOBER 20 (wiking) – James Leigh Gunn, 31, is a veteran player of the Philippines national football team. Although his last appearance was in 2006, he is still an active professional football player, plying his trade in his home base of Australia.
His club is Fraser Park FC, a club founded way back in 1961 and won promotion in 2000 to the NSW Division 1, the third tier in Australian football.
Fraser Park FC’s 2011 season has recently ended in August with FPFC coming in at 10th in the 12-club league.
Unfortunately information is hard to come by for Australian soccer in the 3rd tier, so goals made and starting rosters are imprecise. But we do know that he plays in offense, mostly as a striker and sometimes winger, and is quite involved in the games.
