MATCH REPORT: Dennis Cagara/FSV Frankfurt/2.Bundesliga, Germany(2nd Tier)
Feb 26 2012 FSV Frankfurt 2-1 Karlsruher SC
Feb 26 2012 FSV Frankfurt 2-1 Karlsruher SC
Dennis Cagara's new team, FSV Frankfurt, finally wins one after a two game winless streak. A collision between one of Frankfurts most respected players, Chadli Amri and the visiting teams goal keeper proved the inspiration for the offensive outburts of the home team. Only 3 minutes (33') after the serious injury, FSV Frankfurt found the back of the net via a player, Iliyan Mikanski(formerly playing in the 1.Bundesliga) signed at the same time as Dennis during the winter break. The fine form continued as Frankfurts Cinaz using a no-look backward heel kick scored from 6ft away! 2-0 for the home team at the half.
The second half started with FSV Frankfurt losing its aggressive form. They finally allowed the visiting Karlsruher SC to score at the 72'. The rest of the half saw both team trading punches, but in the end, Frankfurt would keep the 2-1 scoreline and win the match. The new Frankfurt coach used his reserve well in this match as they were subbed in at a point were they helped the team lead or hold on to a lead.
FSV Frankfurt is finally climbing out of the "minnow" zone as their new coach and recent player pickups has proven their worth. They are now 12th in the 18 team 2.Bundesliga. As of today Greuther Fürth is at 1st place.
This was the first match that Dennis Cagara has been included in the game roster, though he did not play.
Next fixture: Mar 4 2012 an away game against Erzgebirge Aue, currently in 16th place.
