Rob Gier is back and practicing with the Philippine National Team under former Rwandan U17 coach Hans Michael Weiss. A few days ago he was reported to have gone back to England to "pick up some of his stuff" and get everything in order for his extended stay in the Philippines. Although he is now an official member of Global FC, he did not play in last weeks loss to Army in the first week of UFL competition ostensibly to rest his injured leg. Looking at him practicing with the Philippine national team in the recent TV patrol video, it would seem that he is indeed well enough to participate in the charity game against Icheon Citizen FC, the Korean Challenger League powerhouse.
Denis Wolf, meanwhile, is a welcome sight for Azkal fans as he brings along with him, veteran play at a very high level. With the projected absence of Phil Younghusband, Nate Burkey and Ian Araneta because of previously scheduled UFL games, Denis should be called up to anchor the National Team attacking position on Saturdays ICFC vs "Azkals" match. See him in the TV Patrol video link below practicing with the Azkals. While Denis is an unknown quantity to Filipino fans, all hope is that he brings with him the much needed complimentary skill to Phil Younghusband in the all important attacking position.

In other news, former Philippine National team standout and current England beach soccer player Chad Gould has been practicing with Bromley FC a Conference South or 6th tier team in England. In a recent message he has mentioned "tremendous fitness"(he has been noted as lacking match fitness in his previous attempt in 2011 when trying out for the NT) and noted his ongoing and constant fitness training for his beach soccer team.
There is no report that he has joined Bromley FC, only that he is 'practicing' with them.
*No "official" roster has yet been released for the ICFC charity game as of this writing.
