K3 team, Icheon Citizen FC vs Philippine NT Jan21

According to a news report by InterAKTV dated tonight, the opponent for the Jan 21 2012 exhibition game involving the Philippine National Team will be the Icheon Citizen FC. This team is located in the city of Icheon(NOT Incheon) and is in the Challengers League. This is the 3rd tier of the Korean football system and is considered amateur. The team plays in the Icheon City Stadium which can host 25,000 fans.

The Challengers League is divided into two groups(A&B) with 8 teams each. ICFC is in group B and they finished in the top spot. In 22 league games they finished with 15 wins 4 draws and 3 loss. They lead both groups in scoring with 75 goals(the following team only scored 57) and only allowed 26 goals. They are a very strong offensive team with a better than average defense. 

The season is now over for the team and they did very well as they reached the semi finals but unfortunately lost a penalty shootout against eventual Champion Gyeongju Citizen.

From the look of things, the Philippine opponent will need to get its defensive house in order if they plan to succeed against this goal scoring machine.
