Oct 29 2011 Ascot United 1-1(P3-4) Malmesbury Victoria
League Cup
Rob Gier's Ascot United lost a home game against Malmesbury Victoria last night. Though Ascot United played relatively well in the game, they lost through a penalty shoot out. At the end of regulation time, the score was a 1-1 tie. The subsequent penalty shootout resulted in a 3-4 score in favor of the visitors. It is even more disappointing that they lost to a lower division team as Malmesbury V. belong only in the 1st division. In this game, new defensive line personnel were used and did well considering they only gave away 1 goal in regulation time. The tying goal was made by Ascot United in a very late 92nd minute.
