MATCH REPORT: Paul Mulders/ADO Den Haag/Eredivisie, Netherlands(1st Tier)
Apr 1 2012 RKC Waalwijk 1-0 ADO Den Haag
Paul Mulders' ADO Den Haag just did not have enough to beat middle tier Eredivisie team RKC Waalwijk. Although for the first half hour the Haguenaars played effective and aggressive football they just could not find the goal. Even as the home team would score at the 23rd minute, ADO, fielding its best squad in quite a while, would continue baffling the Waalwijk defense. The defense harried but nonetheless they were equal to the task as the score after the 1st half would remain 1-0 for the home team.
The second half saw Waalwijk more poised on defense as the Haguenaars would find the back of the net only for it to be called an offsides. By the closing minutes they were desperate and had numerous times to concern the Waalwijk defense, but eventually could not find the equalizing goal. Despite, arguably, using the best personnel they have had since the beginning of the season, ADO could not beat an average team and so looms closer to the dreaded relegation zone.
Paul's ADO is now 15th in the 18 team Dutch premier league.
Paul Mulders was in the game roster but did not play.
Next fixture: Apr 13 2012 a home game against Groningen, currently in 11th place.
