Another bitter loss for Denis Wolf's 1.FC Magdeburg. Magdeburg's left-back Stephan Neumann suffered an early red card(11') which led to a 12th minute Penalty Goal to give the visiting "Wolves" a 0-1 lead. Despite being a man down, Magdeburg would ably hold the visitors to just the 1 goal lead.
The second half saw Magdeburg, again, vigorous in defending its side, but unfortunately could not produce a tying goal. In the end, it was a narrow loss for the home team, but it was still a loss.
Magdeburg has now lost 14 straight home games. Their overall record stands at 4 wins 11 draws & 12 losses. After the season, there will be a realignment in the Regionalliga(new Regionalliga divisions) and so there will not be any relegations. 1.FC Magdeburg is 17th in the 18 team Regionalliga North.
Denis Wolf was not in the game roster.
