Stephan Schröck's SpVgg Greuther Fürth continues its dominance over all in the 2.Bundesliga. The hapless Karlsruher SC bore the brunt of the Cloverleafs awesome attack. KSC did not fare well even though they tried to attack early, all were stopped quite easily. From a direct free kick, the cloverleafs would convert to a goal at the 28th minute. Though the home team would continue to threaten, the first half would end at 1-0 for the home team.
The second half saw KSC again the more offensive of the two teams, but over time it began to weaken and the Cloverleafs again began to take command of the game. A penalty was assessed to the visitors and a Penalty kick awarded to the home team at the 70th minute, the score was 2-0, Greuther Fürth. Ultimately KSC would not be able to stop the home team as they scored an insurance goal at the 83rd minute, a dominating 3-0 win.
Greuther Fürth sits on top of the 2.Bundesliga, though they lost another player through injury(Robert Zillner)
Stephan Schröck is still recovering from an injury and did not play.
Next fixture: Mar 31 2012 an away game against Erzgebirge Aue, currently in 11th place.
