Mar 4 2012  DJK Agon 08 Dü-dorf  5-1  BV 04 Düsseldorf

Mark Drinkuth's DJK Agon 08 dominated the struggling BV 04 and asserting themselves as one of the top contenders in their Verbansliga Group South. The first quarter started out as good as expected for the visiting BV 04, threatened at goal but holding firm. The half ended at 0-0.

The second half was a complete disaster for the visitors as DJK Agon took control of the game. The first goal scored was at the 58th minute. This had the affect of opening the flood gates, from then on the home team was in control. Goals at the 67' 72' 84' and an insurance goal right before the end of regulation time(90'). The only answer BV 04 could muster was a lone goal(75') from a seldom used substitute.

DJK Agon is now 3rd in the 16 team Verbansliga Group South.

Mark Drinkuth remains part of the starting XI and was substituted at the 76th minute when the team was already up by 3 goals.

Next fixture: Mar 11 2012 an away game against DJK SC Flingern 08, currently in 14th place.

  1. Is Mark Drinkuth an official Azkal? I thought I saw all the games of he Azkals this year but I haven't seen him play yet.

  3. He hasn't "capped" for the senior team, BUT he has been a part of the senior team roster since 2010 although he was not called upon to start or sub in. He has played for the Philippine national U23 team and played as a substitute in the last SEAG(2011).

  4. There are plenty of more skilled midfielders in the Azkal pool now so I highly doubt it, I think he'll stick with the U22 and U23 team for now, but in the future, you never know!
