MATCH REPORT: Manny Ott/Ingolstadt II/Regionalliga Sud(south), Germany(4th Tier)
Mar 4 2012 FSV Frankfurt II 1-2 Ingolstadt II
Mar 4 2012 FSV Frankfurt II 1-2 Ingolstadt II
Manny Ott and Ingolstadt II returns to the pitch after a long winter break and wins! Manny, playing against fellow Philippine national team member Dennis Cagara's U23 team did not have the best of starts as they were kept scoreless by the Regionalliga South minnow. On the other hand, the hapless home team could not muster any offense of their own despite having a good goal producing unit. By the end of the first half the score would remain 0-0.
The second half was a lot better for Manny and his team as the rust of the long winter break seemed to have slowly gone away. But so did it go away for the home team as they struck suddenly at the 65th minute, 1-0 FSV Frankfurt II lead the game. Four minutes later Ingolstadt would return the favor via a Penalty Goal to tie the game at 1-1(69'). It would look lie a tied game by the end but all of a sudden, a Frankfurter foul would award the young Schanzers another Penalty Goal at the 88th minute. They would hang on to win 1-2 for an excellent return from the winter break.
Ingolstadt II has won 3 league games in a row and continues to climb the rankings. They are now 5th in the 18 team Regionalliga South.
Manny Ott started and finished the entire match, something he has not done since early this 2011-2012 season. He is contracted to Ingolstadt II only until June 30 2012.
Next fixture: Mar 10 2012 a home game against Eintracht Frankfurt II, currently in 3rd place.
