Simon Greatwich finished last season with his college team, the Hartwick Hawks, as one of its better players. Though the season ended with a "not-so-great-result", he did enough on the pitch for him to be recognized by his football conference(MAC Mid Atlantic Conference) and be included in its 2nd team All-Conference pick. Here is what they had to say about Simon:
"Greatwich, a junior, was 'Wick's second-leading point producer this season with eight on two goals and four assists. He had a career night on September 30 as he had a hand in all four of Hartwick's goals in the team's 4-1 win over FAU.
He tallied in the 3rd minute to give the Hawks the lead and assisted the team's second goal in the 43rd minute. He netted his second of the game in the 67th minute and capped off his six-point night with an assist of Mathers in the 85th minute.
Greatwich added assists versus both Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. In six conference games, he led the MAC in assists and ranked 5th in points.
The Hartwick Hawks finished the season last Saturday with a 5-6-5 overall record. 'Wick placed 5th in the MAC with a 1-2-3 mark."
